  I wanted to let customers know my background with Dorado Soapstone. I have been specifying and helping customers design kitchens and baths for the last 9 years. Over and over again, traditional design is chosen for its natural appearance and integration into what I'll call, "New England Design". Soapstone is tops on the list for countertops. Until Dorado, we had only small slabs which were inconsistently gauged for thickness to chose from. In modern kitchen design we find kitchen islands are growing in size and these smaller slabs made it impossible to attain a one piece countertop for the island. Instead, we found ourselves seeming the countertops on the island, which many homeowners don't like. With Dorado Soapstone you not only have the choice of large slabs which can be installed in one piece for the island, you have the choice of new and exciting colors. From a fabricators standpoint, Dorado maintains the highest level of quality of any of the soapstone suppliers which makes for a smoother job. In New England there is only one choice for the best selection of soapstone, and that is Dorado.
